This Observatory documents an investigation of Victoria’s heritage resources by the UNESCO Victoria World Heritage Project. Its aim is to examine the feasibility of nominating Victoria for inscription as cultural landscape of global significance on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

We acknowledge with respect the Lekwungen, in particular the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, whose traditional territory encompasses the present day urban landscape of  the Victoria region.
